How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
This was a boisterous and joyful production that was hampered by some technical production issues. I would have rated this production 4 stars, but the poor sound engineering detracted from the performance. The band was so loud that you couldn't hear the lyrics of the music over them and when you could hear them, you couldn't understand them. Since the story line is told through the songs, too much is missed if you can't hear and understand the lyrics. My seat was on Tier 1, 3 rows from the rear. It was quite a distance from the stage and lighting coming from the back of the tier was distracting at several points during the performance. The actor portraying Claude was by far the strongest performer, with the others being adequate. Maybe I was expecting more vocally from the rest of the cast than they actually delivered.

Help others enjoy a great night out

Maggiano's at South Coast Plaza is perfect for dinner before the theater here.
