How was your experience?
Thoroughly enjoyed the music and the venue. Ottmar's style of Flamenco was jazzy, romantic and relaxing. A nice alternative to the intensity and passion of traditional Flamenco music. The balance of sound between the musicians was perfect with Ottmar as lead sound (clean and crisp with no distortions). Luna Negra has 2 incredibly talented percussionist - rhythms from Latin America and India. The finger drumming was incredibly fast, it looked like the musician had 20 fingers drumming away India rhythms. All this was beautifully rounded off by the base player. There was a little distortion in the beginning (too loud and vibrations) but the sound technicians mellowed out the base. The acoustics at the Triple door and very good, clean and crisp with no feedback or echos. It's one of the best theatres in town to listen to live music due to the acoustics and seating arrangements. Small, intimate and really not a bad seat in the house. Of course the closer the better.
