Sunday July 17, 2011 / 7:00pmDaytime Statue Sail Aboard the Clipper City Tall Ship
How was your experience?
Let me start with the good: It was a pretty evening and the water and views were beautiful and the boat is beautiful too. I've done this sail before as a daytime event but not the 7pm one. The Bad: this sail at 7pm was totally oversold. We had nowhere to sit, there were a million loud, annoying kids with little to no adult supervision and at the beginning of the sail one of the crew members giving us all an informational and safety speech said "Oh and by the way, during this 2 hour sail there is no bathroom on board. It's not working, sorry bout that." FAIL. Bad. Incredibly unprofessional to have a sail with like about 60 people or more on board and NO working restroom. Ridiculous!! They had a fully functioning bar but no bathroom. Clipper, don't have a sail that's oversold and then not have a bathroom. We should have been given a free drink or a ticket to another sail or a discount on a future one. Bad business. I felt like I was in a herd of cattle. Also, for some reason cigarette smoking was allowed and of course, me being a non smoker had someone smoking upwind of me. Just what I want on a breezy, romantic sail on the water...a face full of second hand smoke. FAIL. I won't do this again.
