How was your experience?
An excellent show starting with a clever reworking of two Japanese tales to stories of NYC, plus engaging and stylistically varied music from LaChiusa. Not just entertaining and emotionally solid, the stories raise strong contemporary questions of honor and relativism in the Rashomon first act, and faith and fear in the second act. The singers put across the words and emotions quite well, though at times with some patchy singing that didn't really harm the impact.
