How was your experience?
What a delightful experience! We arrived on time, and although our table was set up for the pairing, Cheryl had no problem with us enjoying dinner before we got down to business. My boyfriend had a roasted mushroom and asparagus quiche, I had a mediterranean quiche and a greek salad. All the ingredients were fresh and crisp, and the quiche was light and fluffly. After dinner we started our pairings. I won't spoil the surprise by listing the wines and chocolates, but each one was unique. Cheryl did a marvelous job of explaining the nuances of each pairing, and when one of the pairings didn't sit quite right with us she offered us an additional pairing to "make up" for it. After five truffles I was at my chocolate limit, but that didn't stop us from perusing the confection case and taking home several morsels. We also purchased a bottle of one of the wines we had tasted. It was nice that the wines were affordable, and not something you'd find on the shelves of a local grocer. Sandra, the owner, came out and talked with us about the candy making, and she was extremely friendly and passionate. We had a delightful time and will surely recommend this experience to friends.
