Kirk's Classic SF Inner City Coastal Foraging Tour

General Admission

How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
We will be looking to take all of Kirk's other tours, as well as revisting this one with some new people. This was a great tour which our family is still talking about days later. We caught crabs and eels, were taught how to properly throw a herring net, and learned more about the ecology of the bay than I could have hoped for. Kirk has a real passion for what he is doing and does a great job of passing his knowledge on to others. And don't miss out on his fish charts - they are well worth the money and make a great gift. I like that Kirk concentrates on the lesser known species, which play a huge role in our ecology. Whether you want to get hands-on, or just stand back and watch, this is an awesome tour. Just an FYI - you need to drive PAST the St. Francis Yacht Club to reach the stone lighthouse where the tour starts. This means driving east on the jetty once you enter the main parking lot off of Lyon Street. Your starting destination is across the harbor from Scott Street.

Help others enjoy a great night out

Drive Yacht Road until you see the small stone lighthouse; across the harbor from Scott Street.
Bring lots of handy-wipes if you are going to participate hands-on
You are near your car so bring lots of warm clothes just in case.
If the green food truck is at Marina Green do not pass it up. The food is incredible.
