Friday May 11, 2012 / 8:00pmThe Spring Cocktail War
General Admission (Limited Seating)
How was your experience?
This event was nothing like the description. The event didn't start at 8pm and you have to pay cash at the bar if you want a drink before it begins. Drinks are very expensive at the bar. You have to wait on a long line after each cocktail is made to get a tasting. If you want to taste both drinks made by each mixologist then you have to wait on 2 lines. There are only 3 rounds but you have 5 tastings. The problem is that you can't go back and order a tasting of what you like once the round is over. There is hardly any food! I don't know if I call pita and hummus appetizers. They did have some soft pretzel nuggets at the beginning of the night but they were gone quick. You also need to wait on a long line to get appetizers. Also note: The 2 free drinks you get must be a drink you tasted that evenings so you can't use your drink tickets until the end of the event and you don't have much time to drink 2 drinks before you get moved upstairs. You can't use your drink ticket upstairs so be sure you order on the 2nd floor before you leave. The whole night and the 3 tastings felt rushed. I would be furious if I paid for price, even paying $50 was ridiculous.
