How was your experience?
Mr. Knott deserves 5-stars, but I held back because the content is intense and so personal it even makes him sweat. I needed more "Georgia on My Mind" in the beginning to set mood, and might have liked some preliminary pics of the parents, snake, and girlfriends from their salad days--dusty reality shots. BUT his delivery and body language, down to the eye expressions, were phenomenal. It was easy to imagine how things looked, and very exacting about how he felt. In the first part, one adjusted slowly. The "fade to black" topic/time changes occurred frequently (just enough to take one's eyes off and digest content) to bring us on board. I'm not sure he's ever really come to terms with the subject matter, but he certainly expresses WELL. Maybe some attitude from the sister who witnessed/experienced his childhood angst would supplement. Too bad he might be the last of his line, because this is an intelligent and wonderful man. Was it all worth it? Gosh, I HOPE SO. Thanks for a riveting performance.
