Maria Evans’s review
I had a good time with my friends at this event, but it falls short from comparable events at other local museums in a few ways. Pros: The butterfly exhibit is amazing. A butterfly even landed on me. Bring your best camera. Trivia was fun. Brush up on your science and current events. I petted a snake! Was lucky the weather wasn't hellish that evening; we enjoyed the nature walk outside. Good craft beers, but you can't drink in the actual museum portion of the place Cons: There's no food or catering at this event. The "cafe" is basically a fridge with a few snacks you can buy. Plan to eat before or after. There's no music. Just a different feel from other museum events. Really terrible wines. I tasted one that was so sweet, Welch's ought to be worried about competition. Attendance was fairly low. This is a lesser-known museum, but perhaps if the above items were addressed, word of mouth would bring in more folks.
