How was your experience?
Like other people who have reviewed Carrot Top, I was reluctant to buy and go to his show. But all of the other reviewers convinced me to give him a chance with their great experiences. It turned out to be a fun night. We did get really good seats. The show starts promptly at 8:30 so don't be late. And you can bring in drinks from outside if you want as long as they are in a plastic cup so that saves you time by skipping the long drink line inside of the venue. Doors open at 8pm and they show bloopers that first half hour. The openning act was OK but he was only on for about 30 min. so it was doable. He is such a fast-paced comedian that you'll be entertained the whole time. He was funnier than I expected and we got out right after 10pm. The friends we went with insisted we go see him again when we are back in town and I take that as a good sign that they enjoyed the whole experience. Halfway through the show, right before serving shots, he introduced a couple of rock bands in the crowd just two rows in front of us (one of them was Avenged Sevenfold) and that was cool too. The only downside I would say is that, like others experienced, the parking was a bit of a drag. The valet guy will talk you into believing that there is no parking available from the Luxor to Planet Hollywood -- unless you can tip him to "help you out" and park it in the VIP section. We gave him $5 and he seemed satisfied with that (clearly we were annoyed). And although that never has happened to us before the next day when we went to the Hard Rock Hotel they did exactly the same thing (and we gave him $5 there too). So, this may be the new thing valet folks are trying to get more tips. Either way, the parking was worth the hassle. And for the discounted price to see Carrot Top, it's a good deal overall.
