How was your experience?
This show was a pleasant surprise. Addressing the universal theme of love, with a little re-write and fine-tuning, I think it really could have success nationally. I could easily seeing it become another Fantastiks, running in small theaters, produced my small theater troupes, etc. Essentially it is, in today's jargon, a mash-up of some of the great broadway love-related tunes. Simply, but interestingly staged, cute choreography, it's a truly pleasant show. As for this particular cast, they were very good. The blondes each had strong stage voices, but the brunette (sorry, I don't recall names and don't have the program) really was fun to watch. She beams on stage. This is a really nice intimate theater with not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are good. This was the second production I saw here and hope to see more. I understand the Christian nature of the university requires (or at least results in) some religious references in their productions. That's fine, but I hope it's not overdone so that people of all faiths can come and enjoy the productions without feeling preached to.
