Thursday October 25, 2012 / 7:00pm to MidnightThe Queen Mary's Dark Harbor
How was your experience?
The event was good, food prices and drinks were ok, and the props, music and decorations in the mazes were really great. On the negative, the lines were ridiculously long, up to 150 min for some mazes if you didn't have a fast pass. I felt forced to buy one straight away after learning this, but even the line to collect upgraded tickets was long. Generally the organization of the event was poor, which contributed to long lines. Even though we were paying cash we had to wait inline for 30 mins until we informed them that some people had cash in line, and they finally came up the line to help us. I don't know how people are expected to see all the mazes when the event lasts for 5 hours and each line is between 1-2 hours long, including the line to get in. Clearly the fast pass is necessary, and for those that bought one and were able to see all the mazes, they'd notice the similarity in the monsters between them all. I'd like to see some more variety in the types of monsters included in each maze. An obvious example would be to include demons in Hellfire, and there's always room for vampires and werewolves, and perhaps, goblins and trolls in another. Also it'd be more exciting to run into more monsters with character, it was a nice surprise to have a few of them talk to you, and play with your mind, rather than yelling and running off.
