How was your experience?
The Moscow Ballet was fabulous! (5 stars) The architecture of the Wiltern Theatre is fabulous. (5 stars) The organization of the event and low caliber staffing made it a disaster. (Zero stars) When the sold-out performance began only about 45% of the audience was seated. They were seating people noisily, slowly, inefficiently and continuously through the show until the intermission, it was extremely distracting and disrespectful to the performers. I'm not sure exactly what's to blame for this cluster**** but the vocationally and hygienically challenged high-school drop-out carny-types that staff the theatre clearly don't have what it takes to marshall this type of event. It was an epic fail. The audience was pretty low-rent too (circus-style applauding over the music for favorite dance moves, noisy breeders giving loud kiddy-commentary, fussy children, fidgety candy-crunching adults, talking, texting etc). It was a very depressing experience to see a beautiful art-form bastardized by horrible event planning and a trashy audience.
