Saturday March 16, 2013 / Various TimesLa Jolla Freefall Bike Tour
1:00pm - General Admission
How was your experience?
I felt a little nervous in the beginning because we had to ride alongside cars that were zooming past by. The trail we went on got better though as time passed. It was indeed a very scenic ride and the three hours went by really quickly. We got to see a lot of San Diego (La Jolla Cove, Mt. Soledad, Pacific Beach). Most of the ride was downhill so it wasn't physically demanding but because there were a lot of downhill, I could see that it could be very dangerous if you didn't watch your speed. I would not recommend this to those who are not good bike riders. You need to know how to ride a bike pretty well and be somewhat physically fit to complete the tour. Spencer, our tour guide, and Rodney, our driver, were very friendly and kind. They made the tour more enjoyable. Reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the condition of the bikes (seats a bit torn, and chains not too lubricated) and some areas that could have been very dangerous (Mt. Soledad area). Other than that, I would probably go back to San Diego Bike & Kayak Tours, Inc. for other tours that they offer. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
