How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
A very unusual show of 20th century American music, enjoyable and a great change of pace. If you think the symphony is always Mozart 41, Beethoven 5, or Dvorak 9, you will not like this. If you are ready to hear full orchestra arrangements, with some interesting solos and small groups playing against the orchestra, of Ellington favorites and some new works by composer/woodwind player Daniel Schnyder, you will find this a great show. One recently discovered and arranged Ellington work, The Eighth Veil, gets its world premiere in this concert. A very unusual symphony concert! It will be disappointing to much of Pacific Symphony's usual audience, but is great if you are ready to listen to music called "L'Classique du Americain" - American Classical. .
