How was your experience?
On paper it looked good. On the stage it's anemic. The lead female caricatures the New York Jewish woman, and for someone whose character knew the Kaddish prayer since childhood, to consult notes when reciting it weakened her performance. It's all very predictable...mix together the right racial and ethnic elements, compare sufferings, overcome your inhibitions, and with the click of your flamenco heels, all is right with the world. Middle-to-low brow theatre at best.
