How was your experience?
Loved the songs and the reenactments. The singers were wonderful--everybody had amazing range and pitch! Costumes were a hoot. I only had two quibbles: 1) whereas they performed "Power of Love" from Back to the Future, not even doing a little bit of "Back in Time" was a huge oversight; 2) the venue was both a blessing and a curse. The small venue made the experience very intimate and fresh. The actors moving through the maze of tables effortlessly was terrific and gave the feeling of immediacy that only further showcased their singing chops as they were constantly in movement. However, the venue was also the show's greatest set-back: it has four huge pillars that mean there is NO seat in the house that isn't going to have an obstructed view at some point. Because the action is constantly moving about, sometimes you luck out and have a scene performed right in front of you and other times you are completely clueless because they are behind one (or more) pillars. That was the biggest distraction/disappointment of the show. Otherwise, they did a fine job covering the best of Robert Zemeckis and paying faithful homage to the music in his films. I would absolutely attend this again and bring movie-buff friends.
