Saturday June 15, 2013 / 7:30pmMainly Mozart Festival Orchestra
How was your experience?
The performance was stellar, especially the purity of the clarinetist's tone from the bottom to the top of his range in a Mozart concerto, and the electrifying performance of Piazzolla's The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, with Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg as soloist and conductor of the orchestra. For the 25th anniversary of the series, the orchestra under Salerno-Sonnenberg performed variations on Happy Birthday in a variety of styles, ranging from Baroque to Gypsy. There was a long line at Will Call that delayed the start of the concert by 15 minutes or more.
