How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
Firstly, the folks that work in the lobby are so nice and accommodating (it was the Artistic Director working at will call, so you know everyone is willing to pitch in!); it really sets the scene for a fun evening. As many of you know, musicals are a gamble, even at a professional level. You never can be quite sure of what to expect. I have to say that I was impressed by the level of talent showcased in The Wild Party, in all facets. The singing was truly phenomenal, as was the casting, the set design, and the music and tech. Even though I saw a preview performance, everything was tight and professional. Really an excellent job, STC!! I have to just take a moment to give an extra nod to Allison Standley, who plays the character Kate. As my cohort pointed out, as soon as she came on stage, you knew precisely who that character was, she embodied her so fully. This woman has a beautiful voice, great comic timing, and a lot of heart. I think she is destined for great things! See her here first!! (And I don't know her in real life or have seen her in anything before-- I was truly THAT impressed!) If you like musicals, I definitely recommend checking this out; and, if you want to bring someone who doesn't love musicals, just tell him or her that it's very sexy and you even get to see a butt! (I won't tell you whose!)
