How was your experience?
I loved this production of Camelot, especially the male lead who played the part of King Arthur. He acted and sang well, and I could hear every word. Merlin/Pelly was also terrific. It's a wonderful musical with gorgeous songs, almost all of them well performed. I may be biased, as I saw Camelot with the original cast in New York some 50 years ago and learned all the lyrics. The only things I didn't care for in this production were the costumes, which didn't flatter their wearers, and one song, "Fa la, it's May, the lusty month of May" - Julie did it better! The crowd scenes toward the end were a little too noisy, so I couldn't quite hear what King Arthur had to say. But the ending was moving as ever.
