General Admission Special
How was your experience?
It was definitely different. Anne Bowen/ Chiclette was something. The Venue - was cramped but not unusual for these small productions The production - the sound was slightly better than amateur and the lighting was non-existent, staging, considering the venue, was actually pretty good The concept - not bad, but poorly executed (see script) The script - really seemed amateurish. A lot of the lines / scenes were awkward. The humor was mostly superficial. The whole bit about having to explain how she ended up with multiple personalities was a waste of time and was just a cheap ploy to get to closure. The actual psycho part of the idea was not very psycho. There was no suspense. The development of Star Cat felt very weird and forced. Oddly, the only part that seemed remotely genuine was the little side story of Provoloney and Yo-Yo. It really felt like a high school play The acting: most of the characters had at least 1 or 2 good spots where the script wasn't too bad and they were pretty on. The exceptions where Berdine (the best friend) who always felt way to stilted, like she was a nervous kid who memorized lines, and Marvelann or whatever her name was. Other than a few humorous lines and situations, it really had few redeeming qualities.
