Thursday August 15, 2013 / 7:30pmComedian Lewis Black: The Rant is Due
Price Level 3 (Reserved Seats in Rows AA-HH)
How was your experience?
Lewis Black was funny! We thoroughly enjoyed the show. Here are some things we didn't know in advance - some were just surprising and some could have made the experience unpleasant: 1) The concert was outside! It was nice, but I got a little cold near the end. If you've been there before, you would know, but they also have an indoor theatre, so read the fine print. 2) The cheaper "seats" were concrete with no seat backs! People there needed cushions and blankets and perhaps stadium chairs. I'm glad we didn't buy those seats! 3) The parking (free!) was at West Valley College (on site parking >$30!), but they should print the lot # on the ticket. There are 7 parking lots and the free shuttle was in Lot 5. 4) The concert was scheduled to start at 7:30 but didn't start until after 8, and then with a warm up act, which was not advertised. We got there early because we came from Alameda and were worried about getting delayed traffic. Better to wait at the venue, which is pretty, than stress out though. 5) We still enjoyed the show, and especially appreciate the Goldstar discount! The venue is very nice and intimate.
