How was your experience?
Fabulous show with a lot of emotion and heart. Stellar performances from the actresses who played Fantine and Eponine, as well as the actors who portrayed Javert, Marius and Enjolras. The boy who played Gavroche was charming and endearing and likely to be accepting a Tony award in the future. The Thenardiers best moment was the wedding scene-very funny. Valjean had a beautiful voice and a commanding presence on stage. Kudos to the actor who played the Bishop-his glorious voice and warm presence made his scenes a highlight. Stunning visuals with lights and set and beautifully staged freezes. Barricades battle scene and ensuing deaths were brilliantly staged. Choreography and staging for the Finale of Act One was disappointing, but most other parts of the production were well placed on stage. Lowlight of the show was the sewer scene which was very slow and didn't make use of the set or lights in an effective manner. The ensemble was truly gifted with rich vocals and good physicality--they brought energy and passion to each number. Definitely worth the price of admission; especially with the Goldstar discount!!
