While my wife and I have taken in our fair share of the big glitzy shows that come to town, what makes a thriving theater scene are all the smaller intimate houses putting on productions you otherwise wouldn't get to see. Dead Certain is a great play with a tight script, fast clever dialogue, expertly delivered by two seasoned pros. It doesn't take but a minute to empathize with and begin wondering about the characters. The show is delivered in one act, so have the extra glass of wine at the start, take a breath, and settle in for a maniacal hour and a half of verbal to and fro. The raucous musicals have their place, but it is the Dead Certains, Diana Browns and Andrey Esterlis's, that so make us look forward to coming to S.F. from the East Bay to take in a show. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks again.
