Orchestra (Rows A - J)
How was your experience?
First time I have seen a performance by these artists. It was quite unique and very enjoyable. The presentation is supported by two live performers that interact with the marionettes. It is quite superbly and flawlessly done. Their commentary throughout the performance helps guide you along the story of you are not familiar with it. Quite surprisingly, there was a projection (reflection) to modern time interpreting the hero/gods legend of the Rheingold. Quite funny and witty. The narrators were great although I had difficulty understanding the male narrator for a majority of the play. (But he was good anyway in other actions of the preformance)..The musical quality was superb! I was quite impressed by that. What I was not impressed by was the fact that the BARCLAY seated us to the very left of the theater (side). I have always had good seats with Goldstar, and these would have been fine, had it been a regular performance. However, since this was on a modified stage specifically set up to accommodate the marionettes (and their handlers), the scene action on the left hand of the performance stage was totally invisible to us sitting in that particular area of the theaster. What makes it annoying is that the theater was not full, (only 3/4) and seating could haver been done omitting at least 5-6 seats to the extreme of the side rows. Sorry BARCLAY you get a bad mark for that!
