Orchestra and Balcony
How was your experience?
The event itself was fine - gorgeous sets and costumes, the dancing, and the beautiful music. However, my complaint is with the patrons. We were in the balcony and there were so many late arrivals who were seated further down in our row or in front of us. The side doors were left open by the ushers and twenty minutes into the program people were still streaming in. During the ballet young children would get out of their seats and restlessly walk in the front aisle, and the worst thing was the teenager in our row who would not stop playing on her phone and talking out loud. The man in front of her first told her to stop talking and the second time loudly shushed her. To make matters worse, her parents did nothing. I am just astounded at how rude patrons can be, and how clueless parents are of their children. Although I enjoyed the performance, I won't go back - the audience ruins the show and one is left shaking their head in disgust.
