How was your experience?
TAKE THE DART RAIL TO THE FAIR PARK STOP!!! Just wanted to throw that in since there were a lot of folks complaining about the $15 fee to park inside Fair Park which is steep. It will cost you $2.50 per person for a 2-hour DART pass or $5.00 per person for an all day pass. Drive to one of the many DART park and ride stops if you don't live close to a rail stop. Very short walk to the event from the Fair Park stop. WILL CALL is a small trailer off to the left of the entrance. Make sure you let them know up front you purchased through Goldstar. The people working the trailer are a few eggs short of a dozen, so be patient while they work the 'puter. Once inside you will be amazed. The lanterns are beautiful! When you think of how much of a pain it is to string up lights for XMas, you can just imagine the effort involved in setting up such an elaborate showcase. The dragon boat was free when we went. It was nice but not worth paying for to walk on. Its much prettier from the outside than being in it.
