How was your experience?
The show was worthwhile, though it took time to warm up. Though the actresses were fine (especially Jacqueline Grace Lopez who played Minerva), and Herbert Siguenza of Culture Clash was excellent in several roles, I felt sometimes that the ensemble nature of the show didn't allow us to get emotionally close enough to the characters, so that the sisters seemed like types rather than well-developed individuals. Some of the artsy stage movement meant to enhance emotion was rather gimmicky and off-putting, taking me away from the moment in the story. The singing in places could have been awkward, yet the blending of the actresses ethereal voices was so gorgeous that I could forgive them if they made the entire show into an opera. My overall impression is that the show has excellent promise and the cast is talented. A few tweaks to this debut performance in english would make the show much more engaging.
