Sunday April 20, 2014 / 10:00am - 7:00pmThe Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire
How was your experience?
First, if you want to watch tons of great costumes & characters wandering around the event, that is really the best part of the faire. However, we really couldn't enjoy ourselves for a number of reasons as follows: Where do I start... On Sunday at Noon, the traffic was backed up to the freeway (a mile from the entrance). No traffic control. We found street parking by a park & had to walk 50 minutes to get into the Faire/recreational dam. Had we waited the 1-2 hours it was taking people to get into the 1 lane parking areas, it was $10.00 & a 1/2 hour walk or pay another $15.00 for valet parking by the ticket office/entrance. Everything costs money--games & tons of kiosks selling trinkets (overpriced vs. the Rose Bowl flea market). OMG $9.00 for a cup of beer! $350.00 for a Renaissance shirt. $750.00 for 2'x18" stained glass window!!! The shows on different stages were not very exciting. We agreed we wouldn't do this one again. I had been to the Renaissance Pleasure Faire many years ago when it was in Agoura Hills & much more enjoyable!!!
