How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
I was both excited and skeptical about attending this show considering Queen is one of my favorite bands. I was excited that someone finally made a musical the incorporated Queen's talent but skeptical that it easy going to be done all wrong and I was just going to hate it! I felt stuck between both feelings watching this show. Let me start off with stating the negatives of the show. The set was not exciting; it was mostly digital, nothing out of the ordinary. The storyline was cheesy- in a bad way. It seemed as if the writer wanted to amuse audience with a similar cheesy humor as in "Rock of Ages," adding musical puns into the script and having a character similar to Lawny but in this case it didn't work. It reminded me of Divergent meets Rock of Ages with a very bad love story. The story seemed to drag; it was the music that kept me interested. The characters had no depth and the ending was predictable. The things I enjoyed about the musical. The company was terrific! Each one of the cast members put their best into bring the characters to life although they were pretty dull. The performers that played Galileo, Scaramouch, Killer Queen and Ozzy were all terrific! Their voices were strong, on key. You were able to feel the emotions in their voices and took that "Queen" vibe into their performances. The performers that played Buddy and Britney Spears did a great job at setting a comical mood and delivered puns and puch-lines flawlessly. The band was awesome! My favorite part of the show was the company's performance of Bohemian Rhapsody! It sent chills down my spine. So if you're a Queen fan like me and would like to hear their songs preformed on the "Broadway" stage but are not expecting much from the storyline, go. If I would have based my decision on attending solely on the storyline I would not have gone but for me, it was based more on the music and I do not regret attending.
