Robert McGann’s review

It was a clear, coldish day when we reached the Cathedral. While this kept other people away, it was definitely a pleasure when moving to the lee side of the building. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Cathedral and of the people who contributed to the carvings. His bringing along a digital camera with zoom function helped with picking out some of the fine details of the work. The whole guided tour took about an hour and maybe a little longer which was great in that it allowed us additional time to look around while there was still light. We are definitely coming back when it's a bit more clement.

Definitely bring binoculars or cameras with zoom functions. The carvings are up on the towers and buttresses so visual assistance is a must.
