City Ballet's Balanchine Extravaganza Tickets

As the father of American ballet, George Balanchine opened the eyes and ears of audiences to the marriage of music and dance, he famously said, "See the Music, Hear the Dance". In the 'Balanchine Extravaganza' City Ballet of San Diego celebrates that marriage of music and dance with three of Mr B's finest works: 'Serenade' with music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, 'Donizetti Variations' with music by Gaetano Donizetti and 'The Four Temperaments' with music by Paul Hindemith. All Balanchine ballets are performed with permission from The George Balanchine Trust in NYC. Audience members are invited to attend the free lecture 45 minutes prior to each performance by Artistic Director Steven Wistrich.
