Young Will Shakespeare has writer's block. The deadline for his new play is fast approaching, but he's in desperate need of inspiration. That is until he finds his muse: the feisty, brilliant, and beautiful Viola. This crafty young woman is Will’s greatest admirer and will stop at nothing to appear in his next play. Against a bustling background of mistaken identity, ruthless scheming, and backstage theatrics, Will’s love for Viola quickly blossoms, inspiring him to write his greatest romantic masterpiece. Based on the Academy Award-winning movie, this hilarious and romantic reimagining of William Shakespeare’s process is sure to enchant audiences. Sanborn Park is at 16055 Sanborn Road, in Saratoga. From Highway 9, turn onto Sanborn Road and continue up the hill to the park's entry, on the right, soon after the one-lane bridge. You’ll see SVS signs along the way and at the final right turn. The play starts promptly at 7:00pm. We have open seating, so please give yourself plenty of time to arrive and get your seats. Seating opens at approximately 6:30pm. The County of Santa Clara charges $6 per vehicle for parking. Have cash for faster entry into the park. What to bring: The temperature at Sanborn Park is typically cooler than in the valley, and can dip in the evening. We suggest you dress in layers. You can bring a blanket, or rent one ($3) at our concessions tent. Insect repellent and a small flashlight are recommended. Bug repellent can be purchased at our concession tent. The path to the parking lot after the show is relatively dark.
