Have a plan in mind so that you make the best use of your time!
The light rail stop is across the street from the Convention Center - convenient!
I took the train to Penn Station, then the free Charm City Circulator to the Inner Harbor.
Bring snacks. I also brought an empty water bottle to fill from the water fountains.
Good quality food and drink are available, but on the pricey side.
The air conditioning was just right, so dress for summer.
Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll want to visit lots of vendors and the exhibit space is enormous.
Take the Circulator to Harbor East to avoid Inner Harbor crowds
Parking is expensive and hard to find; take the free Circulator
Pratt Street Ale House has good food & is across the street.
Don't go to Baltimore if there is a sporting event. Parking was ridiculous.
Parking was $10 at camden yard and afree shuttle bus provided

Parking was difficult and expensive. There was another event going on at the same same though.
