If you park in the lot directly across the street, be aware that Berkeley Rep doesn't validate parking there. It DOES validated parking for the lot two blocks south between Allston & Center.
Your ticket gives discounts at restaurants even in one case a week later. Restaurant postcards in lobby.
A brand new parking garage across the street from the theater is now open. Modern and clean, the cost is $8 in the evenings. You can park for a validated rate of $5 in the older garage a block away, but the new one is nicer and more convenient.
had a lovely quick bite at Zino, in the Hotel Shattuck. Delish!
Goldstar seats tend to be the ones that the theater has difficulty selling so they may be the least desirable. Mine were two rows back from the stage and crammed in a corner.
Pay for parking through the theater as the special event parking fees have tripled with the closing of one of the garages. BART is a short walk away!
I wore comfortable (my style).
NO NEED DRIVE... BART is one block away

Saha Restaurant on the corner of Shattuck and Haste. Excellent food!
Tuesday/Thursday night docent talk pre-show & Sat matinee: docent talk post-show. Great contextualizing about the playwright, designers, and plot.
I wore I dressed up for the matinee in honor of NYE/holiday. Sometimes it is just nice to get dolled up!.
Parking in garage right across the street from Berkeley Rep. Reasonable at $5.00 for the whole evening up until 12:00 am, when the parking garage closes.
Find out which shows offer discussion before or after the play and go.
Multiple local parking garages have $5 evening rates, including the one across the street from Berkeley Rep. While there's street parking you might spend more time you want to finding it; this is a happening district with bars, restaurants, other theatres and a big folk club.
Parking is a premium in Berkeley because of the students and the increase in residential activity. I went on a Tuesday evening and parking was difficult. Garage was full and had to park 4 blocks from theater. Suggest taking public transit or getting there early and going to dinner.
