Good Mexican restaurant across the street from the Black Box
The Greek restaurant in the same shopping center (Jimmy the Greek) was very good and convenient to the venue.
Casa Tequila directly across Glades Road has good Mexican and great (big) margaritas. Waiting for RedBoat Vietnamese fusion to open.
We are not from Boca and our friends chose the restaurant to meet before the show. We ate at the City Fish Market. The service was great, the food was superb, but the acoustics and table spacing were awful. We we anxious to leave as it filled up.
Even though I paid in full for my tickets on the GoldStar website/app, I was still charged at the door of the theater when I arrived to this event. It was unexpected and humiliating. The price was falsely advertised on GoldStar and I feel tricked into purchasing the overpriced, double-charged tickets for the Boca Black Box venue. Turns out, the surprise charges are what the majority of the audience complained about loudly and aggressively before the show, during intermission, and after the show. It was a very negative and disappointing environment for all those who already paid GoldStar online and were asked to pay again at the front door. I strongly recommend against visiting the Boca Black Box and will never return there again.
We had dinner at the City Fish Market 1/4 mile away. Excellent seafood.
