Took the Orange Line to Back Bay & walked over to Tremont - parking is very scarce and paid parking is expensive
Have dinner at the Beehive, in the same complex. Sit at the bar and have apps and one of their great cocktails. Very affordable for a downtown dining experience. And then the play is two doors down.
If you head in to arrive around 5:30 (in time for dinner) there is a great shot at on-street parking. I have had consistently had good luck with this.
You can pre-pay for Valet parking at the theater! I recommend it, since they only take cash.
We parked at Clarendon 100. On Sunday afternoon, it was $17 for the day. Two other garages were already filled at noon.
Try the BeeHive afterwards. Right next door. Great food. Live music. Cast & crew may show up.
We had a rainy afternoon, so we enjoyed the jazz brunch before the afternoon show at the Beehive which is next door to the theater.
The Color Purple
Parking at the lot next door is NOT validated. It was pouring rain, so we needed to park there, but weren't pleased about that.
