Park in lot B; if it's a nice day, arrive early; it can be crowded. Public transportation lets you off very far from Gate B, which is near the Bronx River Parkway; consider taking a cab if you end up near one of the other Gates.
The weather was sunny. I wore a sun hat and brought water.
Many car thefts happen on the surrounding streets-park in the parking lot.
Food court prices are a bit steep-what you might expect for a theme park
Zoo food is traditional and expensive. Better off bringing your own food.
Animals are well cared for and zoo is clean
Parking is $13! Very expensive, so carpool!
