The theatre was quite cool. Always take the train and walk to theatre.
If you have to pick up tickets do that and find a place to have a drink inside doors opened at 645 to get into vestibule doors The theatre seated 15 minutes before performance .we got there at 6 so a lot of standing in the foyer and hallway.
The weather was cold and windy but the theatre is very nice . I wore slacks, button down shirt; winter coat (they have a coat check.).
The weather was surprisingly cool in the theater. I wore I wore a dress and my legs were quite chilly - I'm not a person who gets cold easily either. Bring a light sweater. You'll need it!.
We were at Steadfast beforehand and they had a fabulous happy hour menu. Close to the theater and parking garages. Highly recommend.
If you want to eat at a restaurant near the theater book your reservation early.
I wore a sweater and was glad. The theatre was unusually cold? I'm not usually one to complain about that but I was shivering near the end of Act 1....
Restaurant "312" located next door has very good food and a quick walk to the theater.
We ate at 312 on the corner and the food was wonderful........I highly recommend. We went to the 2 o'clock performance and we got to the restaurant early but I am sure that it would be a good idea to make reservations as it really became crowded.
Had a reservation next door at 321 for dinner after the show. Great food!
Moderately overpriced beer, wine & spirits available to take into the theatre. One intermission.
See my tip on dining at Siam Rice. On the way down Wells, you will see the Beautiful trailer van - photo op!
We ate at Siam Rice, BYOB, 117 North Wells - just walk from the theatre towards the L, turn left without crossing the street. It's about half a block down Wells. Based on our experience, you will get quick service if you tell them you are headed to the play, & the food is quite good.
