If you want to eat at a restaurant near the theater book your reservation early.
I wore a sweater and was glad. The theatre was unusually cold? I'm not usually one to complain about that but I was shivering near the end of Act 1....
Restaurant "312" located next door has very good food and a quick walk to the theater.
We ate at 312 on the corner and the food was wonderful........I highly recommend. We went to the 2 o'clock performance and we got to the restaurant early but I am sure that it would be a good idea to make reservations as it really became crowded.
Had a reservation next door at 321 for dinner after the show. Great food!
Moderately overpriced beer, wine & spirits available to take into the theatre. One intermission.
See my tip on dining at Siam Rice. On the way down Wells, you will see the Beautiful trailer van - photo op!
We ate at Siam Rice, BYOB, 117 North Wells - just walk from the theatre towards the L, turn left without crossing the street. It's about half a block down Wells. Based on our experience, you will get quick service if you tell them you are headed to the play, & the food is quite good.
We arrived 40 min before the play to find the, lobby and street outside mobbed. The doors into the actual theater are not open until about 20 min before play. If possible, pick up your Goldstar tix earlier, go out to eat and don't return to theater until 15 min before play. The crush of people earlier was pretty miserable.
Ate before we went , go to Petriccas close by 3 blocks east of theatre north side of street.
Arrive early and parking is expensive. If you use spothero.com for discounted parking and use their code "z0no8b" to get $5 off. It will help a lot. You can find and book a parking spot from your desktop or mobile device, get up to 50% off and some parking spots you can use your mobile phone to park instead of printing out the reservation.

Please, for the love of the arts, DO NOT RUSTLE YOUR FOOD WRAPPERS during the performance. It's so disruptive. A live show is not the same as a movie, so please be mindful of how your actions impact the experience of others.
