We always park in the church parking lot for free, walk to SeaDog for dinner and then on to the theatre, everything is within 2 blocks of each other!
SeaDog is an excellent sushi restaurant in the next block.
Tocco is a wonderful Italian restaurant on Milwaukee within walking distance of the theatre.
It's not easy to find parking in that area that isn't metered or permit, but try near the school on Division and Cleaver (go east on Division past the theater and make a right on Cleaver). There's not much of it -- only a block, -- but it's free after school hours!
CTA Blue Line stops across the street from the theater as do several bus routes. Metered street parking will last long enough for this 85 minute show.
The weather was Beautiful. I wore Jeans and a v-neck.
A Comedical Tragedy for Mister Punch
The lobby is truly gorgeous and very interesting. Take some time to look around!
We easily found street parking at a meter. You can use a credit card at the meters (or change), print a receipt and put it on your car dashboard. Our parking was $2 an hour for a maximum of 3 hours, but meters are only required until 10pm.
The weather was Warm evening. I wore shorts and a tshirt. It was very warm in the theater. It's a very small venue, and the seats are packed close together. Be prepared to snuggle up to the person next to you, and for it to be very warm inside. .
If you're into audience participation, sit in the front row near the aisle. You're sure to interact with the cast during the show at some point.
Parking can be scarce, so arrive early and if possible go on Sunday. The meters don't have to be fed.
Parking is a bit tight in this neighborhood. There is paybox parking on Milwaukee and on Ashland and Division. Paybox parking is free on Sundays
If you're taking kids, make sure you take something to snack on during intermission. They don't really have anything for kids. I took crackers and it worked out well.
Parking sucks, so make sure you leave with plenty of time to look for parking.
There is a 15 minute intermission. The play is 2 hours.
