101 James M. Nederlander Theatre Tips
We purchased our tickets on Goldstar....so after the performance, we went on Goldstar again to find a restaurant to have dinner. The Metropolitan Club, in the Willis Tower, had a nice deal. (food was ok for the G.S. price.View was amazing). we went in at 530pm, just after the building became a ghost town from all of the 9 to 5ers. Had a great time!
The weather was sunny. I wore bright colored dress with shimmery shoes to compliment the musical. (take a sweater; even the Balcony seats get a wee bit cold).
For a quick bite to eat, go across the street in Block 37 to the lower level - Prêt a Manger they have good sandwiches and great coffee. They are directly across the street from the Oriental Theatre.
The weather was warm. I wore casual clothing, bring a sweater or shawl.
There's an Argo Tea right next door as meeting place before or after for a hot drink and a snack.
Pick up your tickets a little beforehand because the will call line gets really long right around 7pm

Use Spot Hero or Park Whiz app to reserve parking spot, but check address to be sure to enter correct lot..cheaper than special theater rate offered by lot (which you must ask for). Reserve dinner as much in advance as possible; they fill up quickly, especially Petterino's (closest).
We ate at State and Lake at the nearby Wit Hotel and it was great!

The weather was Sunny, I wore dress casual. visited the new river walk ate at the infield pub, located downstairs in Macy's and parked for $17.00 by prepaying the Parking on line thru Park Whiz at 181 North Dearborn a half block away from the Oriental.I was happy with my seat in the first row of the Loge, extreme right side.. I wore a sweater, flip-flops, etc..
Had Dinner before at Catch 35 very accommodating fabulous food fresh finish excellent service & valet parking available for dinner & theatre.
We ate at Catch 35 and left our car with the valet there--just a quick 2 block walk to the theater. Turns out Catch 35 deducts the valet charge from your dining bill when you're heading to a show afterward--that was a nice gesture.
Make sure you use the right parking lot. It is on the back of your ticket. FYI 20 E RANDOLPH. any other will be 37.00
There are lots of fast, delicious dinners close to the theater a on Washington, such as Roti Mediterranean grill (schwarma).
Don't wait to make a dining reservation. 10 days prior to our theater date was too late to get a dinner reservation.
Get there early enough to use the restroom before the show. During intermission, the ladies' rooms are packed.
