The weather was cold and breezy winter evening.. I wore a nice sweater and pants, but you really can get away with casual and comfortable - jeans are appropriate. .
We dined right across the street at Loyd’s. Service was outstanding, food was above average and we finished ½ hour before the show, walked across the street, seamless.
We ate at One North Wacker Bar and Kitchen (1 North Wacker Drive)... excellent meal that included perfectly done GF pasta with clams and Lake Superior Whitefish.
Eat at Lloyd's across the street. Good food and value
Llloyd's Restaurant is just across the street from the opera house, and they feature a nice menu with a variety of offerings at very reasonable prices, with good service and a pleasant atmosphere.
Use the SpotHero app to reserve a spot in the parking garage in the building next to the Lyric. Was inexpensive and we were in and out quickly.
Ate lunch at Rivers, across the street (Madison) and can recommend it,
The weather was good. I wore a skirt and blouse. I didn't see anyone in jeans but many in pants.
Arrive early so you'll have time to read some of the program and marvel at the sheer beauty of the theater.
The weather was sunny but a bit windy.. I wore jeans and a T shirt and sweater. Pretty casual but, of course, there were people dress to the nines. These are those who would get all dressed up just to walk across the street to corner convenience store..
Not much open in the area is open, so do some research before.
We had to rush getting downtown, so that left dinner for after the show. Italian Village was open for business (of course), and we enjoyed appetizers and dessert. It was a great cap to the evening.
