If you like beef,go to Tango Sur, a great Argentinian steakhouse about 3 doors north of the Mercury. Food is fantastic, servings are huge, and for what you get, it's dirt cheap. Also it's BYOB.

The weather was cool but pleasant then cold and snowed when we left. I wore comfortable pants, sweater, jacket and hat.

The adjacent restaurant (formerly Deleece, now Grassroots) is convenient and the food is good. The service is a bit harried (went early on a Friday night) and servers almost exude they don't want to be there. But food and drink are good.

Bummer that you can not bring in/purchase beverages or snacks. If they'd get their liquor licenses, they'd really make a killing.

If you go to a show that ends before six, it appears many Permit Parking streets are open to everyone. I bought a SpotHero parking space and then walked past a number of street spaces on Waveland on the way to the theater.

Its Chicago neighborhood theatre. Don't be timid. Enjoy your drive knowing there is always street parking. We parked a half block away from the theater and it was free

Dine at Deleece which is literally next door to the theater. In fact, you use the theater entrance to enter the restaurant. You only park one time this way, and the drinks and food were very good. And Deleece is on restaurant.com for savings!
