After the play, we stopped for some Argentinian coffee & gelato at a shop just a few doors down from the Mercury Theater. Wonderful.

There's a restaurant connected to the theater, didn't try it but it looked nice, there are also a few other restaurants on the same block.

If you like beef,go to Tango Sur, a great Argentinian steakhouse about 3 doors north of the Mercury. Food is fantastic, servings are huge, and for what you get, it's dirt cheap. Also it's BYOB.

Brown line is easy. Come early and with patience, you can get a free spot on the street.

The adjacent restaurant (formerly Deleece, now Grassroots) is convenient and the food is good. The service is a bit harried (went early on a Friday night) and servers almost exude they don't want to be there. But food and drink are good.

Bummer that you can not bring in/purchase beverages or snacks. If they'd get their liquor licenses, they'd really make a killing.

If you go to a show that ends before six, it appears many Permit Parking streets are open to everyone. I bought a SpotHero parking space and then walked past a number of street spaces on Waveland on the way to the theater.

There are several restaurants in the area for a dinner before or after the show.
