I wore dress casual.
The Magic Parlour
We made reservations at Acanto at 18 South Michigan. Very quaint Italian restaurant. Food quality - very high. A short walk to the Palmer House after dinner for the show.
Load up the SpotHero app on your iPhone or Android and park nearby for $15 bucks or so. We parked at 55 East Monroe - literally across the street.
Use spothero or parkwhiz to find parking. We did that and found parkikg at the Palmer house garage for $15 for 5 hours. We then used uber to go to dinner. Greek town is close so that's a great choice!
The Magic Parlour
The weather was Cold.. I wore A skirt and boots. Some guests wore jeans, but mostly this was considered a bit of an upscale evening..
We used SpotHero to snag parking right at the Palmer House for just $18 for several hours -- enough to enjoy downtown a bit and eat dinner at Pizano's (just a block away) before the show!
We used the SpotHero app to park directly in the basement of the Palmer house, where they have a valet service. It was $18 for a twelve hours slot, and thankfully via spot hero we were guaranteed a spot, because when we got there it was full and for private guests only. Felt so special taking the elevator straight from the no hassle parking garage straight to the magic parlour.
The weather was windy and rainy. I wore my sharpest suit and a raincoat..
Went around the corner to Miller's Pub for a few drinks after. Nice cozy place, friendly staff.
Valet was only about $10 more than the self-park and much more convenient.
More people were dressed up than not. Why not dress to the nines and make it special.
We ate at Benny's Chop Hous, but there are tons of restaurants in the area to match any wallet size.
