Several nice restaurants near the Theatre. Circle Sushi couple doors away serving delicious, artfully prepared Sushi is a good choice.
For some cheap eats, go south a half block to North Avenue, turn right, and go two or three blocks to the shopping area with Best Buy in it (watch for the sign), turn right. There's a Roti and an Epic Burger there, plus a pizza place I haven't tried. You can park free & leave your car (on the street, not in the lot) and walk back to the theatre.
You can walk up the street to Trattoria Gianni for great Italian food......lovely outdoor patio.
Yes, you can bring in popcorn/ candy - just like at the ball park. After the theater we walked to Cafe BaBa Reeba - where they offer tapas (small plates) and other items.
