Steppenwolf does not use microphones and it is often difficult to hear the actors.
There are multiple restaurants along Halsted if you want to eat afterwards and you can park your car in the parking lot for $13 instead of $11 for an additional 90 minutes.
Parking costs $10 or $12, depending on the day. No elevator in the garage. Street parking is scarce, and since there's no intermission, you can't go out & pay for more time.
This is a one act play, lasting one hour & 45 minutes. You can take a drink into the theatre.
Parking on the street is a bit dicey. We found a spot by circling around onto Clybourn. But if you drive, leave time to seek a spot unless you plan to use the parking lot - $13.
They have hearing assistance devices, which my wife used, but the actors aren't miked, so the devices work by amplifying all the sounds in the theatre, including when someone in the audience coughed. Better than nothing, I suppose, but I didn't use one and had very little trouble hearing. What I missed was due to accent, not inability to hear.
The parking lot has no elevators, quite a hike for seniors parked on the top level. Didn't realize we could have gotten valet parking.
