86 Steppenwolf Upstairs Theatre Tips

Cab fare from the Steppenwolf to Union Station was $9.40 when I took it.
If you need a cab after the performance just tell one of the staff members. They have a cabbie light right outside the main doors that they will activate for you. As soon as the cabs see that light go on they will pull up right to the curb and pick you up.
Don't let the fact that some plays at the Steppenwolf are at the upstairs theater up on the 3rd floor. You don't have to climb the stairs. They have 2 elevators to take you up there and the 3rd floor lobby has its own bathrooms, bar, and snack bar just like you'd find on the main floor.
There is a parking garage that charges $10 to park. Street parking is very hard to find.
The theater is great - no bad seats
$2 for coffee and tea!
Very easy to get to from the Red Line (North/Clybourn stop)
Autumn definitely takes care of you, she was great!
Any attire is acceptable
The bartender, Autumn was awesome!!!

Halsted Bus is at the front door. Parking at $10.00 in attached lot is a good value

Don't waste your time or money
A CTA bus drops and picks up not far from the theatre.
Time Stands Still
Drinks/coffee available in the lobby -- any covered drink allowable in theatre.
Visit one of the nearby restaurants and use their valet parking for both dinner and the show
Hit the ladies room fast if needed at intermission; it's too small!
