Great neighborhood -- Wicker Park - lots of people on the street, parking is scarce. Theater is about three long blocks from the nearest el station - the blue line.
You really have to walk a few blocks unless you want bar food as most of the restaurants near the theater are all bars.
The weather was sunny and warm. I wore shorts, sandals and polo shirt.
KPC
Easy Den parking in Paulina lot, since street parking can be tight. Theatre was well air conditioned- bring a sweater. Antique tacos made great pre-show meal.

We ate across the street at the Standard Bar and Grlll. It was very casual and we really enjoyed our food. Noisy.
Bat Boy: The Musical
We ate at TOCCA down the street....great Italian food....
Parking is a nightmare there on the weekend. I went on Monday and found a spot right in front. The play is 2.5. hours.
There's a coffee house integrated into the premises, but the only decaf they have is an Americano.
We went on a Monday, and found street parking, right at the theatre. Plenty of parking south of that spot, very little north of it. This play runs a little over two hours, beginning at eight p.m., and the metered parking goes up to 3 hours, ending at 10 p.m. So if you arrive at 7:30 you can max out the parking time & not worry about it.
I wore Jeans are fine..
I wore a dress and tights, if you plan on taking advantage of the unique seating (which I highly suggest), wear something that isn't too fussy..
The weather was Snowy. I wore Black leggings, sweater, boots. Casual for sure. The group mostly wore jeans and sweaters..
