If you walk east of Gate 3 there is an Atrium entrance. Once you enter, there are various sponsored activities which are fun and free of charge. You'll also find the statue of Michael Jordan there and if you need tickets, you can visit the box office. Entry to the United Center is available.
Use Spot Hero to save a few dollars on parking, which are the same parking lots as full price.
If you are going to park in the lots, bring cash because you can't use credit cards. There is however, an ATM in the lot on Damen just west of the United Center. The lot is $4 cheaper than the lots adjacent to the stadium and it is well lit.
Pre-game beer and burger at The Ogden on Ogden. Good food and reasonably priced.
