Go early, park at the theater than take the elevator across the train tracks and eat at the Spaghetti Station. Easy walk, good food, and fast service. Or eat at the Black Bear Diner on Harbor in Fullerton. Check the online menu, some nights they have a great prime rib at a great price. About ten minutes from the theater.

We had some wonderful dessert crepes at nearby Crepes Bonaparte (open til midnight). It's a great stop after the show.

Loads of dining options within a 1 mile radius. Also, the theater has a pleasant art deco atmosphere and sells beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks so it's enjoyable to hang out a little early before the show.

Arrive early, park at the theater, and either walk over the bridge (over Harbor Blvd.) to Hero's restaurant or cross the train track (elevator) and eat at the Spaghetti Factory.

We always park at the theater and then cross the train track to either the Spagetti Station or cross the bridge over Harbor Blvd to Heros. Heros has large portions and we get a box to take home for lunch the next day. They have a full bar.

For good drinks or appetizers, try the Tribune. For a good burger, try The Public House. Both are just minutes away.

If you are not familiar with the area, call the Maverick ahead of time, as it is a back street venue, tucked in between larger structures on the alley.

Downtown Fullerton has a variety of choices for dinner before the play, all within a mile of the Maverick Theater. And there is an open bar on site.

Parking: if you get there early you could park in their lot. Other parking is on both sides of the street parallel to the south side of the RR track.

We love Sunday shows because we can have a light meal, appetizers and a beverage or two before the 6pm show at one of the many restaurants across the train tracks. Kentro is yummy as is El Amerikano, best spicy margarita :-)

Sunday 6pm performance allows for an early dinner/happy hour at some of the restaurants north of the train tracks...we ate at Kentro Greek Kitchen and it was a peaceful and yummy experience.
